We report a study of an elastic buckled beam undergoing contactless magnetic actuation Laplace type. The model is based on the elastica theory including extensibility. force produced by electric current travelling along placed in induction. magnitude control parameter and increasing switches from one stable state to other for given end-shortening. main purpose investigate bistable response, more precisely, diagram as function midpoint vertical displacement according magnet location beam. equations are established they numerically solved using algorithm developed nonlinear boundary value problem. A second part devoted experimental validation comparisons with results extracted numerical solutions equations. Especially, ascertain good accuracy approach proposed bista-ble model. In addition, influence parameters response clearly identified.
